Formed in 1998.
Prior to the year of 2022, UBS traded as Monks Building Services, and were formed in 1998, under the name of PJ Monks. Much of Monk’s contracting was assigned to retail sectors where it formed a close relationship with M&S supplying maintenance and repairs to the various outlets. In 2013 PJ Monks expanded its services into general building works. As part as its expansion plans other services were added to give customers a complete building portfolio service in building services, mechanical, electrical, Fire, security, and data.
In October 2022 Monks re branded to Universal Buildings Services in order to unify our ‘Universal’ branding with our associated companies, whereby together we can offer turnkey packages across the whole construction & facilities sector. We see this as an exciting step forward in being able to deliver greater value to all those we’re working with.
We aspire to be the building repair and maintenance services provider of choice, recognised across the UK for our excellent standards and reliability.
